Hanwha SolarOne

Hanwha SolarOne is dedicated to the development of a healthier and happier society.

We meet and exceed international guidelines for environmental sustainability, and are an active member of the PV Cycle program for recycling end-of-life modules. In addition, all of our facilities are Occupational Health & Safety Advisory Services (OHSAS) certified.

We encourage a workplace culture in which the voices of every employee can be heard. In addition, we offer financial aid for local construction projects and support solar charity projects. We are one of the largest sponsors of the Solar Decathlon.

Anti-desertification efforts

Hanwha Group is conducting desertification prevention efforts hand in hand with the Forest Agency of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China and the UNCCD (United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification) by providing PV generation systems. To facilitate a successful outcome, Hanwha E&C will provide construction service while Hanwha SolarOne provides high-quality modules for 80kW of the planned 1,680kW PV plant.
Hanwha’s 80kW contribution will play a pivotal role in supplying electricity to the tree nursery areas which is the foundation of the project.

Hanwha SolarOne is a proud member of PV Cycle

Hanwha SolarOne strongly believes in manufacturing that has minimal impact on the environment. PV Cycle is a voluntary take back and recycling program for end-of-life PV modules. It allows PV manufacturers to take responsibility for PV modules throughout their entire value chain, from silicon ingot production through the end-of-life.

As one of 67 full members in the program, Hanwha SolarOne helps make the solar industry "double green" by mitigating industry waste and the energy requirements needed to produce raw materials for future PV modules.

3 kW Donation to Shanghai Charity

Hanwha SolarOne is proud to have supplied the solar system for a donation to the Shanghai Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Center. Sponsored by Walmart, this 3 kW project will provide electricity for the Rehabilitation Foundation's lighting and daily energy requirements.

The Shanghai Rehabilitation and Vocational Training Center for the disabled is a state-run social welfare project. This center cares for disabled by providing medical rehabilitation, vocational training, and cultural activities. Hanwha SolarOne is pleased to have played an important role in improving the lives of everyone at the Center.
